Here’s a short film that’s bound to capture your imagination and your heart. Paperman is an Oscar Nominated short film from Disney (produced by Pixar‘s John Lasseter) that utilizes both 3D and 2D animation in a bold and beautiful way to tell the story of a guy trying to get the attention of the woman of his dreams. The result is a magical little tale that proves that even in the cold, crushing world of modern New York magic can flourish.
You can watch Paperman in full below:
I love this short film, it does in a scant few seconds what most feature length films fail to do with a two and a half-hour run time. Which is totally sell you on the characters and their chemistry between each other – all without a single line of dialogue. The music is also fantastic, complementing the film perfectly. It’s a true testament to visual storytelling.
And if you’re like me you might also want to see how they made this little masterpiece, and thankfully you can find out how via this YouTube video:
